Bad Bahbie.

Hey hey!! Been a while right?!

So to start with, I won't lie, I have been procrastinating a lot! Not that I take everything for granted or I don't like my work anymore. I love what I do and will forever be grateful for what all I have achieved till date. As 2017 is coming to an end, I wanted to wrap this year up with a few posts where I share my thoughts with you guys.
Its only because of your support and appreciation that I keep doing what I love passionately.

For 2018, I do not have any resolutions, but GOALS which I will eventually disclose once I accomplish them. To be filthy honest, I've never kept up with my resolutions *shameless*

This New Year, let's keep aside all the negativity and bad vibes and lets just move ahead with rainbow colours. There are a lot of things/lessons that I learnt in 2017 and they've made me wiser and a better version of myself. I feel that I have grown as a person and I understand things a little more better now. However, I can talk about all of this in another heart to heart blog post.

I've been meaning to do soul talks since long but now is the time that I'm actually getting into it. If after reading this post you want to share anything with me or want to talk heart to heart, feel free to shoot a DM on my Instagram @RubySupergirl <3

Talking of my outfit now,

I am slowly, steadily sliding into a gangster-badass-boujee-but-also-a-barbie phase, bwaha! You might spot that on my Instagram feed as well. SO!! Here I'm wearing a knotted Grey-black leopard print jumper from Mango and put a ZARA leather jacket over it. I've been loving blush pink lately and I'm wearing this pleated net skirt from H&M Coachella collection over a blush pink tight from Pieces. Also, shoes..oh god SHOESSS!! I feel like Carrie Bradshaw sometimes quoting, "Men I may not know but shoes, shoes I know." HAHA! They're from Truffle Collection btw!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post, do stay tuned for more!! I'll see you super soon! xx

Bengali Joyride at Baluchi, The Lalit, Chandigarh.

Baluchi (Pan-Indian restaurant) , The Lalit, Chandigarh is offering us a slice of authentic Bengali cuisine until the last bite. Enjoy the culinary joyride during this Bengali Food Festival at Chandigarh’s much-loved hangouts that is celebrating food from this region.

The experience felt like I had been seated in a luxurious eatery in Kolkata. The instrumental music was giving me the feels, as the whiff of Fish Curry filled the air. If you  keep up with my Snapchat stories, you must've seen the simple décor at the entrance with traditional Bengali decorations made of thermacol and tinsel on the walls, which added to the vibe. Soon, a waiter warmly welcomed me. I was served with complimentary staples in no time. This included the traditional Bengali Aloo Jhuri Bhaja (a popular salty-spicy, fried Bengali snack) and a welcome drink which was the Aam Pura Shorbat. I added Pinacolada later on.

After I polished it off, the starters were on my radar. I plumbed for the Begun Bhaja which is  sliced fried Eggplant, never could I ever had imagined such a delicious Eggplant dish! The second one was a total lip-smacker! It's called Kabiraji Cutlet, a fish fried in eggs, just like a french toast, oh so delicious!

The infamous egg-rolls being the third dish and Betki Macher Paturi, the fourth which is a fish wrapped in Banana tree leaf.

For the main course, I was served, Kosha Mangsho, a mutton dish, Luchi, Cholar Dal Narkel Diye, Luchi, Ghee Bhat, Macher Kalia, the fish dish and a vegetarian Bitter Gourd dish called Sukto. All the main course dishes were excellent and authentic to the core. For my sweet endings I wiped off the Malai Chap which ensured that my Bengali joyride was satisfying till the end.

Have a look at the pictures below and I'm sure the foodie in you will be forced to leave the daily chores and will want to visit Baluchi at the soonest to taste the authentic Bengal food!

Embroidered Shirt Trend.

After a week long of procrastination, I'm here with another outfit post for you guys. Stepped up my Denim on Denim look with this floral embroidered shirt. As you know that I am not a bog fan of florals, but this shirt right here really did struck my eyes!! I fell in love at the first glance and I had to get it!

Embroidered shirts are a hit this season and they come in so many different-gorgeous designs, I got mine from the brand called Oxolloxo on Myntra.

This is one of my favourite outfits and I almost forgot to share it with you guys! I wore the shirt with my trusty KOOVS denim, as I had this denim on denim look on my mind. You can also pair such shirts with body con skirts to add up the glam quotient.

Szechuan Food Festival, The Lalit, Chandigarh.

A Szechuan food festival was kicked-off at The Lalit, Chandigarh. OKO, their Pan-Asian restaurant, hands-down has the best Asian food that I had in the city! Chinese, one of my favouite cuisines, I was surely delighted to attend this fest!

The Lalit always has an on-going, monthly event, this time, it's at OKO and it's called the Szechuan food fest. I visited OKO during the fest, and enjoyed a lip-smacking delicious meal. Szechwan cuisine, or Szechuan cuisine is a style of Chinese cuisine originating from Sichuan province in southwestern China. That is quite the impressive range!

Everything that I was served was excellent. From chicken salad to duck, and noodles to dessert, everything was just lovely.
The classic black-red interiors and the fest set-up will remind you of the Chinese heritage, you'll love.

I had three dishes and they were oh-so-lovely!! Every dish was well cooked and full of delicious flavours. Also, I can never miss out on the dessert. The Mango pudding being my favourite.

DUO JIAO SHAO KAO YA- Roast duck in Chengdu picked chilli sauce

Dan Dan Mian- Szechuan dan dan noodles

Chinese mango pudding and Sago Cantaloupe

Chef Jinhong Lou

For me, it was a great treat to be at the Szechuan Food Festival at The Lalit, Chandigarh. The fest continues till 25th June, so come and experience the flavours of Chinese cuisine like I did.

First Hair Colouring Experience- Vintage Salon, Chandigarh

So, I was a hair dye virgin, until now. I finally took the colour plunge which was legit terrifying. Thanks to the Vintage Salon, Chandigarh for making my hair dye fears go away!!

The first time hair colouring experience can be pretty intimidating. I always seriously considered dying my hair all throughout my teenage years, I did my research and was 100 percent sure that I want to make this change. Of course I was very nervous, but as you'll read, you'll know how happy I was in the end, and that's what really matters right?!

You must've noticed that I have jet black hair, or should I say, 'HAD'.
For the colour, I always wanted to play safe and opt for a subtle palette, being a minimalist.
I definitely took my time to decide whether I wanted to do this or not, if it'll damage my hair or if the colour doesn't match my choice?! I had all these thoughts running across my mind.

I had all the jitters and chills running down my spine. The hair-expert here at the Vintage Salon answered all of my queries in one go! And I was satisfied with my decision. He knew exactly what he was doing and gave honest opinions about my hair.

He used all of the products, colour to the shampoo from Schwarzkopf. And the colour was  Schwarzkopf 7-67, medium blonde, chocolate copper reflects. The colour took around 30-35 minutes to completely settle in.

After the foils were off and my hair were shampooed and blow-dried, I was in complete awe. I always-always wanted to colour my hair but was super scared of doing so. It was time for the BIG reveal! And god! I was nervous!! Once done, I was extremely satisfied, you'll see as you go through the photos:

I was genuinely happy with the outcome as you must've seen. The Salon's interiors are so striking and lives upto the name-Vintage!!
Located in Sector-26, I highly recommend this salon to you guys. Get all your "hair-dreams" come true! <3
