It is certainly no controversial statement to say that there is a lot to Italian food. Everybody knows something about Italian food, it’s history and it’s preparation- after all- no one could reach the age of five without seeing an Italian chef toss pizza dough into the air in film, cartoons, or real life.
If you follow me on my Snapchat (RSupergirl29), you're already aware that I attended the Italian Food Festival- Festa Italiana at The Lalit, Chandigarh.
As they say, it's an exquisite culinary journey to Italy as you relish the finest selection of authentic Italian delicacies from the kitchens of 24/7 at The Lalit, Chandigarh that will tantalize your taste buds.
As you'll see in the images below, The Lalit's in-house restaurant, 24/7 was decorated perfectly with Italian props. Every corner had a touch of Italy.
According to my research and from what I read, for true Italians living in various regions of Italy, there’s not much that ranks above pizza. On every corner, you’ll find a great pizzeria with simple but absolutely delicious pizza. And unlike us, Italians would never order pizza that comes in a box. They must savor each fresh piece right as it comes out of the oven. Here, at Festa Italiana we were served two thin crust pizzas, one vegetarian and the other non-vegetarian.
Pepporoni Pizza: Warm goat cheese pizza with caramelised onion, rocket leaves and sun dried tomatoes. |
Lamb Pepperoni Pizza. |
Saffron Seafood Risotto. |
Five stars to the preparation. |
Tagliatelle all Bolognese- Handcrafted tagliatelle pasta with bolognese sause. |
Spaghetti Pasta. |
Ending my Festa Italiana experience with my outfit of the night, It was a great treat to be at the Italian Food Festival at The Lalit, Chandigarh. The fest continues till 28th May, so come and experience the richness of Italian cuisine like I did.
A Presto!!!
