Track Pants To The Streets

When track pants are this cute, you want to wear them everywhere. On hearing of track pants, many people relate them to the gym or jogging. But my casual self have decided to get them on the streets with an edge and style.

Ankle block heel boots and Adidas track pants may be stretch for some. But if you are feeling bold and have the desire to be chic all day to boot, well here you go.

It’s definitely a different way to wear track pants! I believe the trick to this look is for the track pant to have a classic silhouette. This one is similar to a cigarette pant. The pop of colour adds whimsy and fun. Then you style the rest of the outfit with pieces that would be flattering to a high waist cigarette pant. The leather jacket is for added bold element that I felt needed to be added to complete the full idea. If you want to opt for a little casual and laid back look, feel free to switch your leather jacket with a denim one and heels with sneakers! Easy peasy!!

I hope you guys enjoy reading this athleisure style article as much as I loved putting it together!! While 2018 is coming to an end I've decided to put up long due articles up my blog, lets keep them coming!! Until next time!! xx

Rejuvenating at Noor Mahal

Ever seen a place so beautiful, that you run out of words to describe its glory?! For me, NOOR MAHAL is that perfect dreamy destination!! From the location, to the architecture, the lush green gardens to the delicious delicacies, everything was just overwhelming and oh so perfect! Not forgetting to mention that the palace has the sweetest and most helpful staff I've come across yet!

NOOR MAHAL is a rich blend of Royal and European architectural dexterity, which when entered, one can forget all his solace and wreath himself with bounties of the scenario. This majestic palace is located in Karnal, Haryana. I stayed over while going to Delhi and its so convenient to visit the palace when going from Chandigarh.

We were welcomed with drinks and taken to our Suite which was called a Rani Bach and truly justifying its name- was luxury at its best!  Also, they had these amazing traditional dancers who performed for us and it was so divine watching them! Such royal-esque in one place!!

On reaching the property I was very tired from my last few days of work. The rush was just too much for me! I definitely love my work and love what I do but sometimes your mind & your body needs some rest too and that is exactly why this staycation was the perfect getaway for me. It’s all about a leisurely stay and relaxation. So I already had plans for taking a short nap once I reached Noor Mahal! I was headed to Jaipur after this and wanted to make the most of these two days by completely relaxing my mind. In the suite we ate a traditional Indian dinner  and then called it a night!

The next day was going to be as exciting as this one! It began with breakfast in the restaurant downstairs and a property tour. The food was just perfect for a lovely start to the day! Since I had a spa scheduled in the evening, I decided to take a little time in between to get some work done because I didn’t want to immediately head to the spa after the heavy breakfast we had. But the spa is something that cannot be given a miss. To experience Noor Mahal's heavenly Spa I went to this area in the palace which is a complete unit of health and well-being with a salon and other activities attached. The terrace is also beautiful and overlooks the landscape around and the spa has an array of international local treatments curated by their manager. I fell asleep in the spa session and it was heavenly, just like its name! Careful attention is paid to ensure each visit leaves you exceptionally well-rested, nourished and cared for. The state-of-art wellness facilities are a definite plus in this property!

Post lunch we relaxed a little in the afternoon and headed out of my suite to experience the palace at around 5.30 in the evening! The entire palace is colourful and vibrant, filled with different types of Indian touches and ethnic shopping areas too. The evening turned surreal as the sun went down and the view got better and better.

Another point of attraction of this palace was the Frontier Mail restaurant. As you'll see in the pictures below, the restaurant is a themed one of a train! It reminds you of the bygone era and it literally fed my vintage soul! I was so much in awe of this setting that I never wanted to leave!!

NOOR MAHAL  also host marriages and such other functions and in case any of you guys want to approach them for that, they will definitely help you out! The property, people and the culture is all so heartwarming, could not have asked for a better time! The next day I had a flight to Jaipur and this was exactly what I needed before starting my journey.
Noor Mahal definitely helped me to truly relax and unwind. I hope you had a great time reading this and looking at the pictures, just like I had at the palace. :)

4 Fabulous Hair with Himalaya

Hair care is so complicated now days and it is hard to know which products are best, especially when you have textured or chemically treated hair. The possibilities are endless and sometimes, overwhelming. It is impossible to cover the best hair care products in a short span.
Recently, I had a hair care session with Himalaya in Chandigarh, where they launched their new 4-step range which is oiling, shampooing, conditioning and masking.

They had me over a pampering session where they oiled my hair following up with a relaxing head massage, and then shampoo + conditioning.

Oil:

I have dry hair, so I need to use a lightweight oil to keep my hair hydrated.  Somehow my laziness kicks in and I don't use much of oiling. With all of the options out there, you would think that finding something that is lightweight and convenient to use would be easy.  Well it took me a while to find my go to hair oil, Himalaya's oil comes with Bhringraja and Amalaki which nourishes your hair from roots to tips.  This oil is lightweight and I love that is comes in a accessible drop bottle, so it is easy to cover the areas that need it the most.  Also unlike many hair oils, it does not have an overwhelming or unpleasant scent. If you are looking for a lightweight and hydrating hair oil, you will be really happy with this product.

Shampoo:

Shampoo is the essential step in your hair care regime as it cleanses your hair off dirt thoroughly. Himalaya's Anti-Hair Fall  is a fantastic shampoo for every hair type. It cleanses and at the same time does not strip moisture from the hair. Also, after washing with this shampoo, combing through my hair seems much easier than with other shampoos that I have tried. If you are looking for a great cleanser for your hair without stripping your natural oils, this is the product for you.

Conditioner:

Choosing the correct conditioner for our hair type can mean the difference between great hair and not so great hair. Conditioners are meant to add shine, protect hair from drying out and they allow easier combing. I personally have fine, dry and a little damaged hair (because of the heat). Conditioner for fine and thin hair gives volume and thicker looking hair. People with this type of hair should not apply conditioner to scalp. Massaging light-weight conditioner from mid-shaft down the hair and using oil-absorbing conditioner gives you extremely good results. This category of people should avoid heavy conditioners which make hair limp and look oilier. Using a conditioner like Himalaya with ingredients such as Palasha and Bhringraja is highly recommended for coloured hair and is to be used primarily on the ends of the hair. Using this made my hair look healthier and shiny-fluffed up and its safe to use on colour treated hair so that's a plus point!!

Hair Cream:

Whether you’re a skincare junkie or a one product fits all kind of girl, chances are you’ve heard of K-Beauty and already have a sheet mask in your skincare routine. These masks make looking after your skin really easy and you can tackle so many problems in one go rather than with a handful of products. It makes sense that this would work for your locks too and Himalaya's hair treatment mask is just what you need in your hair care kit!! This mask work really well as it opens your cuticle, helping the formula to penetrate deeper into your strands and giving you better results. It has Bhringraja and Amla which are widely known for rich effects on hair.

I really enjoyed testing these amazing products on my hair and now its your turn to give them a whirl and speak for yourselves!!
after all,

Healthy hair, Happy hair!!

Until next time, super soon!!

Brahma Horizon, Pushkar

Exploring the holy city Pushkar with you in this post. If you're coming from my Instagram, you must be aware that I recently visited the city this summer.

Pushkar is a town in the Ajmer district in the state of Rajasthan. It is situated about 10 km northwest of Ajmer and about 150 kilometres southwest of Jaipur. It is a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Sikhs. Pushkar has many temples, 1000 approximately as told by the locals. Most of the temples and ghats in Pushkar are from the 18th century and later, because many temples were destroyed during Muslim conquests in the area. Subsequently, the destroyed temples were rebuilt. The most famous among Pushkar temples is the red spired Brahma Temple built during the 14th century CE. It is considered as a sacred city by the Hindus particularly and meat and eggs consumption is forbidden in the city. Pushkar is located on the shore of Pushkar Lake, which has many ghats where pilgrims bathe. One of the bathing ghats is called Gobind ghat built by the Marathas in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh.

Pushkar is famous for its annual fair (Pushkar Camel Fair) featuring a trading fete of cattle, horses and camels. It is held over seven days in October or November. It attracts nearly 200,000 people.According to the researches in 1998, Pushkar hosted about 1 million domestic (95%) and international tourists over the year.

During my stay, I visited one of the ghats at Pushkar lake, it was so peaceful and holistic. I had an experience with a localite who was apparently convincing visitors to buy 'Pooja thalis' and perform a ritual hosted by one of the many brahmans by the lake. They later on convince you to "donate" money in any of the temples and tell you that they accept debit and credit cards as well. If ever you visit Pushkar, I'd suggest you to definitely visit the lake but do not fall for these tricks, the key is to ignore them and continue with your exploration.

The lake is peaceful and takes away all the negativity stored in your body. I spent quite some time at the lakeside and then decided to head back to the hotel after exploring the local markets.

Brahma Horizon Resort is ten minutes away  from Pushkar Lake. Located among Aravali Hills, Hotel Brahma Horizon is the ultimate destination for anyone with its excellent location, stunning architecture and bespoke services. They made my stay so comfortable that it felt like I was at a home away from home. The staff was really helpful and knowledgeable about their services and the city itself.

The food was served and the presentation was really nice, it was so refreshing after all the traveling and sleepless nights. I chilled at the pool-side for sometime and headed back to the room for a quick nap.

My experience at the resort took a next step when they presented a personalised card along with our lunch meal which is to be launched with the new menu on July 30th.

My Pushkar staycation was so wonderful and ofcourse some brownie points to the friendly staff who treated me so well. They also host marriages and such other functions and in case any of you guys want to approach them for that, they will definitely help you out! The property, people and the culture is all so heartwarming, could not have asked for a better time! The next day I had to leave for Jaipur and then Delhi and this was exactly what I needed before starting my journey.

Brahma Horizon definitely helped me to truly relax and unwind. I hope you had a great time reading this and looking at the pictures, just like I had at The Brahma Horizon, Pushkar.
