Indo-Western Style for this Wedding Season.

This blog post is a 'lil different from the rest. Taking a break from street-style, this time I'm wearing an Indo-Western outfit to give out inspo for this Wedding season.
Take a break from the usual Indian-wear and transition from one look to another, using both styles to compliment each other and unite both Western & Indian for casual-chic day look like mine here. This look might be over the top for a few, but when I carried this, the eyes got used to my look rather quickly so I was happy.
This look has also been seen on the runway and is so effortless and stylish!
So make heads turn this Wedding season!!

Over my Royal blue leggings, I draped a matching dupatta with delicate gold embroidery giving it a look of a saree. Easy right?!
Paired it with a gold sequin blouse, glittery shoes and matching jewellery to finish off the entire outfit.

I shot this look for Roposo back in October where they wanted me to work around Indo-Western look and this was the best I could think of.
I would definitely wear this to a wedding this fall.

I kept my makeup very simple by adding just a pop of red to my lips and my signature winged eyeliner..as always.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I will see you supersoon! xo

New Baluchi Menu Unveil at The Lalit, Chandigarh.

Hello I'm back with another post with Baluchi, The Lalit, Chandigarh. If you want to know more about Baluchi and my first experience there check out the post by clicking here:
The Lalit Experience, Chandigarh !
A new menu was unveiled at Baluchi this Friday and I was present there to witness the same.
There is something rustic, robust and rich all in one about the dishes that will make you go back to them over and over again!

We were serverd the Trio-Shots as refreshing drinks. Jeera Annanas Aab(bottom left), Tarbooz Ka Thanda(bottom right) and Kesari Thandai(top and personal favourite).
Jeera Annanas Aab is simple yet it tantalizes the taste buds. As the name suggests, it is a pineapple and cumin drink. However, the pineapple is slow roasted and sweetness is adjusted to just right. About a pinch of roasted jeera powder heightens the flavour.
Tarbooz Ka Thanda is a total refresher, it is basically watermelon juice with bits of fruit in it. And, who doesn't know about Thandai?! The Kesari Thandai was my absolute favourite!

New menu unveiled

How creatively designed is the new menu!!
Love the presentation, always! Malabari Shorba.

The chef with his lip-smacking dishes.
All the delicious flavours in one place! I cannot choose ONE as a favourite. So, I'd say that Dal Baluchi, Lahori Mutter Paneer and Boondi Raita is my trio-favourite!

From the Main Course:
Mutton Awadi Qorma
Chicken Stew With Appam
Patrani Macchi
Dal Baluchi
Kacchi Palak Aur Methi Ki Sabji
Chokh Waigun
Lahori Mutter Paneer
Vendaka Masala Pachadi
Kalongi Aur Bhaune Pyaaz Ka Pulao
Assorted Indian Breads

For the desserts we had, Kajoor Badaam Ka Halwa and Paan Kulfi which was my favourite.

All in all, we love the food and would definitely go back to the place.

And at the end I would like to share what I wore.
I wanted to fusionise my outfit so I paired this bright pink Chinese collar cropped blouse with green dhoti salwar.

I'll be back with another post super soon! xo

Art of the Trench.

Beige, black, fitted, loose, crumpled or not, over time the Trench Coat has been all the above and so much more, while remaining a staple. With fall season settling in and the weather turning to its inconsistencies, we’re left in a tiny fashion predicament: What To Wear? And look good? The Trench Coat!! Literally the best fashion invention and mixture of trendy & comfy – the gabardine Audrey Hepburn-ish piece will forever be our go-to transition coat. And the best part about it is that, while designers such as Burberry have given us reinvention after reinvention, you don’t need to go break the bank or do the trench coat statement if you don’t want to. The classic beige, belted, knee-length..Trench Coat is still IN!! -FashionTag
I travelled up to the hills last weekend and you'll see in the pictures below how I chose to style it.
Tan is the colour of the season! You can never go wrong with this colour option. I chose to hang the coat on my shoulders for more of a casual look. I wore denim on denim as I didn't want my outfit to be loud. Paired the outfit with beautiful tassel-pointed loafers in classic nude which are my absolute current favourites!

Loving Trench Coat this season because it’s probably the most versatile piece and there is no wrong-style rules when it comes to picking one. The Trench Coat pulls together any style, mixes into any look and goes with any outfit. For styling, even a black knee length trench coat will have you looking like Audrey Hepburn, screams classy! Any look with a Trench Coat is the ultimate sexy and polished style look!
So all is simple and forever in with the trench coat! Looking to buy a new coat? If you’ve already got a classic one, then just go for a more statement piece: leather, lace, coloured, short, flared or printed. If, however you’re buying your 1st Trench Coat I think a classic style in beige or black is definitely the answer.
I'll see you guys super soon! xo
